Second-semester attendance

Published: Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 9:41 a.m. CDT

Our goal is to give our students in the Clarke School District the best education possible, and we believe the best way to do this is to have every student be on time and attend school regularly.

Studies show students who often miss or who are often late to school will have difficulties academically in school. Your understanding and cooperation toward our goal of improving attendance and academic performance in our school district will be appreciated.

Please review the district’s attendance policy, which can be found in the school handbook and website.

Ultimately, parents are responsible to get their children to school and on time each day school is in session. We will be working hard to address attendance concerns during the second semester as we strive to improve our students’ overall attendance and academic performance.

Please contact the school in a timely manner the day your child is absent. Documentation to excuse absences is greatly appreciated. You can monitor your child’s attendance through our Infinite Campus program.

Please contact the school your child attends to get signed up. Also, after-school programs are available to help with academic needs.

We are looking forward to having a great second semester.
