No citations were issued after an accident 9:15 a.m. July 13 on Highway 34, one mile east of Woodburn.
According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Monico Francis Requena, 69, of Cayo (unknown state), driving a 2011 Outlander east on Highway 34, crossed the center line, left the road and entered the north ditch. The vehicle continued east in the ditch and re-entered Highway 34 where it came to a stop in the right lane.
Requena was transported to Clarke County Hospital with a nonincapacitating injury status. Passenger Keemara Shatesa McClendon, 20, was also transported to Clarke County Hospital with an incapacitating injury status. Passenger Kayla McClendon, 20, was transported by air ambulance to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines with an incapacitating injury status.
Damage estimate was $8,000.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Ivan Sou Vang, 54, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., driving a 2004 MDX south on Interstate 35, struck a deer.
Damage estimate is $10,000.
