Mormon Trail 0

HUMESTON — Murray was pushed in all three games here on Sept. 4 in a 25-18, 26-24, 27-25 win over Mormon Trail.

“Struggled a little bit at times, but that is to be expected,” Murray head coach Jerry Shields said. “Mormon Trail is a very scrappy team, but we still garnered 42 kills.”

Hannah Barber led the way for the Lady Mustangs with 18 kills, while Madison Gonseth recorded 12. Shelby Myers finished with seven kills.

Gonseth and Jade Lecy each recorded three blocks, while Courtney Titus finished with two.

Gonseth served 9-of-11 with three aces. Myers went 17-19 at the service line with one ace. Lecy was 11-11 and Barber finished 5-6 with one ace.

Chellsea Jones and Myers each recorded nine digs, while Barber added eight. Brandi Gilbert set 31 assists for the Lady Mustangs.

Centerville 2, Central Decatur 0

OSCEOLA — Central Decatur dropped a closely contested 25-23, 25-21 match to Centerville here on Sept. 4 at the Clarke Triangular.

Jentri Hullinger led the Cardinals with four kills, while Raegen Boothe added three. Hallie Linhart finished wtih two kills and a team-high four solo blocks with one block assist.

Linhart also finished with a team-high eight digs and served 9-of-9 with three aces. Lily Simon set a team-high six assists and served 7-8 with one ace.

Boothe assisted on two blocks and served one ace. Alex Graham served 11-11 with three aces.

ADM Tourney

ADEL — Interstate 35 lost five matches here on Sept. 4 at the ADM Tournament.

In a 21-9, 21-13 loss to Perry, Riley Morris led the Roadrunners with five kills. Hanna Bryant set seven assists and served 5-of-6.

Gracey Griglione finished with four solo blocks and three block assists, while Morris recorded two solo blocks and two block assists. McKenzie Quigley assisted on three blocks. Morris also served 4-5 with two aces.

Morris finished with four kills and one solo block in a 21-8, 21-15 loss to Knoxville. Griglione added two kills and served 7-7 with one ace. Slye Richardson contributed two kills in the loss.

Bryant set seven assists and served 5-5 with one ace. Caylin Brommel served 3-4 with one ace.

In a 21-17, 21-6 loss to Woodward-Granger, Morris recorded a team-high three kills and finished with one solo block and one block assist. She served 6-6 with two aces. Richardson served 3-3, while Brommel served 5-5. Bryant set four assists and served 4-4. Griglione was 3-3 serving.

Griglione led the way with three kills in a 21-7, 21-15 loss to Newton. Griglion added one solo block and served one ace on 3-3 serving. Morris served 4-6. Bryan set three assists and served 5-5 with one ace. Haley Schaffer finished with two digs.

Morris recorded two solo blocks and one block assist in a 21-4, 21-13 loss to host ADM. She also recorded two kills and served 2-2.

Brommel served 5-6 with one ace, while Bryant served 5-5 with one ace. Griglione was 4-4 at the service line. Carlyn Stanley served 2-2.
