Osceola Big Chief FFA will be kicking off their annual fruit meat and cheese sales.
Sales will start Oct. 7 and run until Oct. 21. This year, the chapter will also be selling beef sticks from a local business — The Harvest Barn.
The fruit meat and cheese profits are used to help fund trips to leadership conferences, educational tours, conventions and other chapter activities. This past year, the chapter helped pay for nine students to go to Louisville, Ky., for the National FFA Convention. These are just a couple examples of how FFA uses the funds generated from this sale. Without the support of the community, a lot of these activities would not be possible.
