Accidents

No citations were issued after an accident 11:19 p.m. Oct. 8 near the 34 mile marker on Interstate 35.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Jayson Lee Rulo, 35, of Cincinnati, Iowa, driving a 2009 Kenworth semitrailer north on Interstate 35, struck a deer.

There were no reported injuries.

Damage estimate is $4,000 to the semitrailer owned by GDS Express Inc.

No citations were issued after an accident 5:50 a.m. Oct. 8 on Highway 69, eight miles south of Osceola.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Joshua Adam Hall, 27, of Osceola, driving a 2002 GMC north on Highway 69, struck a deer. The vehicle rolled over once and came to a stop on its wheels.

There were no reported injuries.

Damage estimate is $7,000.

No citations were issued after an accident 8 a.m. Oct. 8 east of Osceola on Highway 34.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Ashley Kay Harper, 23, of Osceola, driving a 2009 Jeep west on Highway 34, struck a deer.

There were no reported injuries.

Damage estimate is $2,500.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:20 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 2000 block of 205th Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Stephanie Linn Henry, 31, of Osceola, was driving a 2004 Chrysler north on 205th Avenue. Henry saw a 1996 Chevrolet pickup driven by Doyle Raymond Curnes on the side of the road.

Henry thought Curnes was backing out of the east farm field. When Henry’s vehicle passed Curnes’ vehicle, she didn’t realize Curnes was slowing down to turn into the farm field on the west side of the road. Curnes didn’t know if he had his turn signal on. The vehicles collided.

Damage estimates are $2,000 to Henry’s vehicle and $1,500 to the vehicle owned by Curnes Farms Inc.
