LCHC to kick off holiday season Festival of Trees

CHARITON — LCHC is decking the hall with beautifully adorned trees and wreaths that will be up for auction at the third annual Festival of Trees Saturday, Nov. 29.

This year’s event will kick off with a vendor fair from 2 – 5 p.m. at Carpenter’s Hall. Vendors in attendance include Norwex, Scentsy, Origami Owl, Thirty-One Bags, Mary Kay, Tastefully Simple and many more.

Admission to this event is free for all attendees. Local talent will provide entertainment during the vendor/craft fair. Community members are also invited to view the trees and wreaths that will be up for auction later in the evening.

The evening portion of the event will kick off with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner, provided by Cater 2 U, at 6:30 p.m. Following dinner, LCHC will hold both a raffle and live auction for the decorated trees and wreaths. Tickets for this portion of the evening are $10 per person, which covers the cost of the meal.

“I’ve been excited to hear the plans for decorating the trees and wreaths. They are going to be beautiful – and will be a welcome addition to any home or business that purchases them,” said Jena Wiley, marketing director at LCHC. “Even those who don’t plan on purchasing a tree or wreath are more than welcome to attend. The experience of viewing the trees and enjoying an evening out with friends or loved ones as we kick off the holiday season will be well worth the cost of the ticket.”

This year, the following businesses/organizations are donating a decorated tree or wreath: LCHC OB Department, Johnson Machine Works, Origami Owl and more. Hy-Vee and Midwest Heritage are sponsoring this event.
