Grassley receives award from National Farmers Union

WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa received the 2014 National Farmers Union “Golden Triangle Award” in recognition of his support and dedication to family farm agriculture.

The award is presented every year to members of Congress who have demonstrated leadership and support polices that benefit American family farmers and rural communities.

“I’m honored to receive this award,” Grassley said. “Being a voice for agriculture in the U.S. Senate is a responsibility I take very seriously. Every day hard-working farm families work to produce food and energy for the world. Advocating on their behalf is something I have always considered one of my top priorities.”

As one of only two working family farmers in the U.S. Senate, Grassley works to be a voice for agriculture and rural America in Washington through his work in the U.S. Senate and his roles on the Finance, Judiciary, Budget, and Agriculture committees.
