I’m urging all Iowa lawmakers and the couple of groups that really have the governor and legislators ears right now, Concerned Iowans for Medical Cannabis and Iowans 4 Medical Cannabis, please do not get Iowans another bungled medical cannabis law!
It’s the 21st century, modern medicine and common sense dictate we need whole plant full spectrum, for every illness, or better yet, any illness a doctor and patient decide amongst themselves that it may help. Do not allow a monopoly on distribution, you wouldn’t do that with a pharmacy plus competition and product abundance allow for much lower costs, it is medicine, after all.
About every month, and oftentimes more, brand new healing abilities are being discovered, new studies and updated studies validating previous studies are being released. You want more studies? Better yet, human studies? We’re here, we’re willing and we’re ready!
We have actual illnesses, don’t lock them out before they’re cure or relief is even known about just because you don’t like recreational users or whatever reasons you want to have.
If you’re truly “for the patient,” then go get the only effective medical cannabis law Iowa needs and that every Iowan deserves. It takes the same amount of time, effort, ink and paper to write a great bill as it does to write a lousy one. Get it done correctly now and it won’t be another battle every year.
