Clarke County SCICF has donated giant 12-by-18-feet flags to the Murray Community School and the Clarke Community School.
The motorized roll-down flags were placed in the high school gyms with pro-active grants provided by the South Central Iowa Community Foundation (SCICF).
A flag has been placed in every high school gym in the five-county area of Clarke, Decatur, Lucas, Ringgold and Union. SCICF is presents these flags in an effort to inspire patriotism and to honor everyone who has served in the military; past, present and future.
Clarke County SCICF Board of Directors are Lori Borcherding, Jason Gibbs, Dennis Jeter, Mellony Klemesrud and Melissa Snell.
