Osceola Hy-Vee debuts store’s new amenities

Osceola Hy-Vee has been upgraded.

After many months of construction at the store, a ribbon cutting was held Friday, May 1, to showcase the business’ new amenities.

“In the end, we get a brand new modern facility that rivals anything that you see up in the metro areas, on a smaller scale, obviously,” said Osceola store director Lonnie Smith.

Smith said it was a long winter for both customers and employees with constant construction going on throughout the business.

“With the bridges over and trenches in the store, all the noise, dirt, dust and cleaning every day, working around all that. So, these guys deserve all the credit,” Smith said. “They worked hard and their people worked hard. Taking care of customers through all of what they were having to deal with is testament to how good these guys really are.”

What’s new?

This is a list of Osceola Hy-Vee’s new amenities

• In-store pharmacy

• Market Café with full-service restaurant and bar

• Chinese Express

• Expanded produce, wine and spirits

• Expanded selections in meat and dairy

• Huge bulk foods section

• Health market section

Osceola Hy-Vee is just one more reason for people to shop locally.

“We’ve had a ton of people say, ‘I used to shop in West Des Moines because I can’t get this, but now I can get it here. I used to go to Mills Civic Hy-Vee because they have so many bulk foods, but now I don’t have to do that because I can shop at our local store,’” Smith said. “They’re super excited about having all those things in our town.”
