Joyce Adams Osceola

Joyce Adams, 70, of Osceola died May 18, 2015, at Clarke County Hospital.

Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. Josh Mongan officiated. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Osceola Church of Christ or to her family. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Joyce Arlene Adams, daughter of Eunice Pauline (McVey) and Earl Dean Percell, was born July 30, 1944, in Leon.

Joyce received her education at Lamoni High School and also attended Abilene Christian College.

On Dec. 23, 1973, Joyce married Keith Emery Adams in Osceola.

In the years after her marriage, Joyce worked as a CNA at Decatur County Hospital and Westview Acres Care Center. She also worked for a time at Graceland College in Lamoni.

Joyce was baptized at an early age in the Church of Christ and was a member of the Osceola Church of Christ.

Joyce is survived by her husband Keith Emery Adams of Osceola; daughter Lesa Gillespie (fiancé Jason Cochrane) of Oskaloosa; son Jeffery Adams (fiancée Amanda Tucker) of Lamoni; brothers-in-law, Russell Manchester of Davis City, Samuel (Juanita) Adams of Mount Ayr and Donnie Adams of Mount Ayr; sister-in-law Verla Repp of Des Moines; grandchildren, Jaden and Malachi Gillespie and Keaton, Devin and Aubrey Adams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; infant son Michael Keith Adams; sister Jeanette Manchester; brother Roger Percell; brother in infancy Harold Dean Percell; brother-in-law Harold Repp; father-in-law Samuel Adams and mother-in-law Lucille Adams.
