Wallace Tracy Osceola

Wallace Tracy, 89, of Osceola died May 31, 2015, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.

Services were held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. Interment was in Fremont Cemetery. Memorials may be given to HCI Care Services of Osceola. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Wallace Edward Tracy, son of Della May (Wright) and Oliver Elsworth Tracy, was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Winterset.

Wallace received his education in Madison County country schools.

On Aug. 20, 1944, Wallace married Fern Deloris “De” Hope.

Wallace was a farmer. Through the years, he also worked for Solar Aircraft, Dico, Delevan and was also the district man for Archer Oil for more than 30 years.

Wallace was a member of Osceola Eagles Lodge No. 3495.

Wallace is survived by his sons, Dan (Sandy) Tracy of Truro and Jim (Gloria) Tracy of Prole; daughter Deb (Elva) Sheets of Osceola; son-in-law Larry Brown of Afton; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; wife De; daughter Sandy Brown; brothers, Cleo Roy, George Tracy and Raymond Tracy; and sisters, Edna Crom, Jesse Roy, Faye Acton, Fern Kirkpatrick and Irene E. Smothers.
