A citation for failure to maintain control was issued after an accident 2:40 p.m. July 8 in the 1600 block of 240th Avenue.
According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Andrew William McKnight, 16, of Osceola, driving a 1992 Dodge pickup north on 240th Avenue, lost traction before the crest of the hill. This caused him to fishtail on the gravel and over correct. The vehicle crossed the gravel and entered the west ditch, rolled several times and came to a stop by a culvert.
McKnight, who was wearing a seat belt, was checked out by medical officials and released.
Damage estimate is $3,000 to the vehicle owned by Brian Keith McKnight.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Julie Buesch, 56, of Osceola, driving a 2009 Toyota north on Liberty Highway, struck a deer.
Damage estimate is $5,000 to the vehicle owned by George Edward Buesch.
