Jeanne Miller

Ida “Jeanne” Miller, the eldest child of  Frank Ellsworth Trumbo and Meda Harrison Marquis Trumbo, was born March 25, 1921, in Osceola at the Doctor Dean House and passed from this life Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at Ottumwa Regional Medical Center at 88 years of age.

Jeanne graduated from the eighth grade at the Liberty School and then New Virginia High School.  She completed Normal Training at Osceola Junior College and later graduated from Drake University.

She was united in marriage to Francis Marion Miller on Aug. 3, 1947, at Indianola, at the Simpson College Chapel. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Ed and Ted.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at New Virginia Methodist Church with burial of her cremains at Jamison Cemetery to follow.

Visitation will be open on Wednesday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with family present 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may go to New Virginia Methodist Church or Pennsylvania Place/The Haven in Ottumwa.
