Mary Ann Marvin, 64, of Osceola died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Services were held 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., in Osceola with the Rev. Chuck DeVos officiating. Visitation with family present was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mary Ann Marvin, daughter of Everett Miller and Lois (Heston) Miller, was born Nov. 27, 1950, in Osceola.
Mary Ann graduated from Murray High School in 1968. She attended the Americana Beauty College in Des Moines.
On March 31, 1973, Mary Ann married Bill “Monk” Marvin at Osceola.
Following beauty college, Mary Ann worked at Patsy’s Salon in Osceola. She later worked for Auto Assembly and Osceola Foods. In 1994, she began working part time at the Osceola country club as a bartender and later as manager.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband Bill; daughter Brandi (Timothy) Formaro of Des Moines; grandchildren, William Parks, Olivia Parks, Elania Critz, Dejah Rowe, Nevaeh Rowe, Legend Rowe, Timothy Formaro and Jacob Formaro; sisters, Connie (Jim) Penick of Osceola and Suzi (Ron) Adams of Oakland; special nieces, Courtney (Trent) Denney, Manda (Colter) Wright, Sasha (Dan) Bailey, Shelby Adams and Amber (Billy) Dodson; great-niece Aleena; great-nephew Jaydon; sister-in-law,Sharon Miller; other relatives and many friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Wendi Lee Marvin and brother Wayne Miller.
