Mary Brant Truro

Mary Evelyn Brant, 92, of Truro died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at her home near Truro.

Mary Evelyn Brant, daughter of Frank Neidt and Edith (Spurgin) Neidt, was born Feb. 28, 1924, in rural Madison County. Mary graduated from Truro High School.

On Sept. 5, 1942, Mary married John Junior Brant in Princeton, Missouri. Together they farmed near Truro.

Mary was a member of Truro Congregational United Church of Christ and Jolly Fu.

Mary is survived by her daughter Mary Austin of St. Charles; son Eric Brant of Truro; grandchildren, Tana (Kurt) Krumm of Johnston, Jared (Melinda) Austin of Windsor Heights, Jackie (Jeff) Wagner of Truro and Karla (Jeff) Heaberlin of Indianola; great-grandchildren, Troy and Laurel Krumm, Miranda and Valerie Wagner, and Maddie and Logan Heaberlin; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Junior Brant; parents; children, Raymond Dean, Lance in infancy and Beverly in infancy; brothers, Joe Neidt and Lavern Neidt and sister Cleona Knapp.
