Marie Davis Seaton

Lucille Marie Davis Seaton, 75, of Osceola died Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.

Services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., in Osceola with Dr. Al Adams officiating. Visitation with family present was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Lucille Marie Davis Seaton, daughter of Russell Brierly and Dorothy (Utley) Brierly, was born Aug. 10, 1941, in Osceola. Marie was a lifetime resident of the Osceola area. She went to grade school in Woodburn and graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1959.

On Aug. 3, 1961, she married Gerald William Davis in Osceola.

Marie helped Gerald on the farm, and she worked at the jewelry store in Osceola and for Burgus Shoes. Gerald passed away in 1990.

On Dec. 3, 1999, Marie married Ronald Seaton in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Marie was a member of the Eastern Star and First Christian Church.

Marie is survived by her husband Ronald Seaton of Osceola; son Roger (Rosalie) Davis of Osceola; daughter Marilyn (Greg) Wischmeier of Suwanee, Georgia; grandchildren, Jennifer Galvin, Brandon Wischmeier, Kristen Wischmeier, Jairus Davis and Sarah Jane Davis; step-daughter Diana (John) Stapley of Cedar Springs, Michigan; step-sons, Paul Seaton of St. Charles and Phil Seaton of Osceola; several step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Harned of Wichita, Kansas, and Mary Ann (Richard) Aringdale of Ankeny; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Dorothy Brierly, and first husband Gerald Davis.
