Fifty-year members who were unable to attend were Gracie Crawford, Mary Ellen Kimball and Linda Ruble.
The guest speaker, Past International President of PEO, Elizabeth Garrels, was initiated into Chapter K in 1963. She presented a program about the history of the chapter which has been active in Osceola for 131 years.
PEO is a philanthropic educational organization where women educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of its own Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. Chapter K provides annual scholarships to selected Osceola high school graduating senior women as well as providing support to PEO International scholarship programs.
