Beverley Joan Carson, 80, of Murray died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.

A memorial visitation with family present was from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., in Osceola. Interment of Bev's cremains will be in Murray Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Murray Athletic Department. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Beverley Joan Carson, daughter of Walter Lee Hurt and Leona Cornelia Boughton Hurt, was born June 16, 1936, in Winterset. Along with her family, Bev moved to Murray in 1940 and was raised on the farm eight miles north of Murray. Beverley received her early education at Bunker Hill Country School and then attended Murray High School graduating in 1954.

On June 16, 1955, Bev married Darrell Douglas Carson.

Bev worked for many years at Dekko in Osceola and Murray. She was the first one hired in the area and held various positions through the years, including office manager, and lastly, as a controller for the company.

Bev was a member of various bridge clubs and Red Hats.

Bev is survived by her husband Darrell of Murray; daughters, Pamela (Ken) Caldwell of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Patty J. Reynolds of Osceola; grandsons, Eric (Yoko) Caldwell, David Caldwell and Steven Greenland all of Grand Island, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Jalyn Johnston and Jalyssa Caldwell; sister Bertina (Max) McCleary of Grimes; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Leona C. Hurt and Walter L. Hurt, and daughter Kathryn Annette Carson.
