Connie Saylor Johnson

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, for She is Saylor Johnson at the Wilderness Gateway Campground on Hwy 12 in Idaho.

Connie, the daughter of the late Leland and Lola Hunt, was born Dec. 11, 1941. She has two daughters, Christy Calvin and Nicki Saylor. After living around Osceola most of her life, she moved to Essex, where she taught Spanish before becoming a Wilderness Ranger. During that time, she married Lloyd Johnson in Idaho.

In October 2018, she went missing in the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness and has been declared deceased.
