Heidi Black

Heidi M. Black, daughter of Johann and Barbara Ach, was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Germany and passed from this life Sunday, July 7, 2019, in Germany at 71 years of age.

Heidi was raised in Germany. She graduated high school while helping her parents in their restaurant.

Heidi met Dan A. Black in Germany while he served in the U.S. Army. They were married in Germany and upon her arrival in the United States, in 1969, Heidi and Dan were married again on July 1, 1969.

Heidi and Dan resided in Osceola. They built a new home and she worked at America’s Best Value Inn in Osceola.

Heidi enjoyed spending time reading mysteries and visiting with family and friends, of whom there were many. Heidi and Dan returned to visit her family in Germany every few years. Heidi was always there to help everyone in any way she could. Heidi remained in Osceola when Dan passed away in 1995. On Dec. 7, 2017, she returned to Rottenbach, Germany to live.

Those relatives who preceded Heidi in death were her husband, Dan Black; parents, Johann and Barbara Ach; two brothers, Joseph Ach and Rudy Ach; two brothers-in-law, Robert and Killian; and mother-in-law, Delphine Miler.

Heidi leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Linde, Ericka and Hanne and husband, all of Germany, sister-in-law Galene (Robert) Argetsinger; brother-in-law Johnny Miler; and many relatives and friends.

Heidi was buried in a family cemetery in Germany per her wishes.
