Senior Master Technician certification earned by Fleetside Ford employee

The Ford Senior Master Technician Award was presented to Derrick Dredge at Fleetside Ford of Osceola.

Dredge completed training in all the different fields including engines, drive train, chassis repair and break repair plus his over five years experience with Ford dealerships. This training was voluntary and Dredge is currently the only employee at Fleetside Ford who is qualified to perform any warranty repairs due to his certification.

To earn the certification Dredge took online training courses and then went to a real classroom at Des Moines Area Community College for more hands-on training.

After graduating college in 2009 Dredge has been a Ford employee and recommends this training to anyone who is interested in automotive work.

“It’s a great program,” said Dredge. “It’s a great way to learn and keep up on the latest and greatest that they’re coming out with.”
