Sandy Campbell

Sandy Campbell, 81, of Kellerton, passed away December 4, 2019 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 9 at the United Methodist Church in Kellerton, Iowa. Burial followed in the Maple Row Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the Kellerton United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.com.

Sandy was born April 23, 1928 in Kellerton, Iowa to Rollo Francis and Fornola Maxine (Higday) Virden.

Sandy was united in marriage on October 7, 1959 to Larry Joe Campbell in Denver, CO.

Sandy operated her own beauty salon for 33 years; was the Office Manager at the Truck Driving Academy in Lamoni, IA, where she worked until it closed. In December 1997, she went to work for the Clarke County State Bank in Osceola, IA; retiring in October 2009.

Sandy was an active member of the Kellerton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons Kurt & wife Clara of Osceola, IA, Kevin of Mount Ayr, and Darren & wife Janette of Mount Ayr; grandchildren Casey Campbell, Cacia (Chris Key) Foote, Erin Campbell; step-granddaughters Kimberly Reaves and Makenzie (Brock) Still; great grandchildren Calyssa and Delayna Key; step-great grandchildren Kambreigh & Aspen Still; sisters Linda (Harold) Foland of Osceola, Vicki (Vince) Jackson of Winterset, Mitzi (Gaylen) Tann of Waterloo; brother Douglas Virden of Boone; brother-in-law Larry Beck of Arizona ; aunts Rosalie Draper & Melba Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest sister, Stephanie Beck.
