Caitlyn Saxton

Caitlyn Jay Saxton, age 23, the daughter of Lathum Craig and Rose Anne (Richardson) Saxton, was born March 20, 1996, in Leon, Iowa. She passed from this life on Friday, December 20, 2019, at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

She loved to play softball and started on a traveling team when she was in elementary school and continued to play on her high school and college teams.

Preceding her in death was her grandma, Vicki Saxton; grandpa, Les Richardson; uncle, Randy Richardson; and aunt, Marcie Saxton Cummings. Survivors include her son, Noah Horney; parents, Lathum and Rose Saxton of Leon, Iowa; sisters, Paige Herring and husband, Evan of Omaha, Nebraska and Dain Saxton and companion, Chanse Mathes of Ridgeway, Missouri; nephews, Braylen and Aydin Herring and Rhyott and Rhenigade Rudolf; grandparents, Jay and Carol Saxton and Jean and Gary Campbell, all of Leon and Susan Richardson of Osceola, Iowa; great grandparents, Jerry and Donna Tharp of Leon, and June Richardson of Spencer, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, great aunts, and great uncles; and other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020, with Pastor Rick Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Hamilton Cemetery near Pleasanton, Iowa.

A memorial fund has been established by the Family.
