Kyle James Eugene Wilson was born on August 20, 1984 to Kathy (Morris) Wilson in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life on February 10, 2020 at age 35.
Kyle spent his childhood in Murray Iowa and graduated from Murray Community High School in 2003.
After graduation Kyle attended the McAninch Training Center in Indianola, Iowa beginning his career as a heavy equipment operator. Kyle worked for McAninch Corporation, Seamus Excavating, and most recently as a foreman at Elder Corporation and was well known through out the industry. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers Local 234 Union.
Kyle was very active as a volunteer firefighter for many years on the Murray Fire Department and was a volunteer on the Osceola Fire Department for 10 years, with his highest rank being Assistant Chief.
On August 30, 2014 Kyle and Molly Curnes were united in marriage and they were blessed with a son, Boone Kelly Wilson, born May 4, 2017.
Kyle was a loving and devoted husband and father. Many summer evenings Kyle, Molly and Boone could be seen exploring the neighborhood together in their side by side or working in their yard. Kyle loved his “little man” with all his heart and took great pride in teaching him how to fish and instilling his own love of the outdoors into his son. Kyle and Boone spent many hours together in a skid loader while building the family’s home and Boone is already well known through out Kyle’s coworkers at Elder as he has developed a love of dirt just like his dad.
Those relatives who preceded Kyle in death were his brother, Tyler; grandparents, Darrell Sr. and Bette Morris; uncle Gene Morris.
Kyle leaves to cherish his memory, wife Molly; son, Boone; mother Kathy (Penny) Wilson; sister Brandy (Jack) Wilson-Goldenberg. Nephew, Grant Goldenberg, Niece, Lily Goldenberg, Aunts and Uncles, Don and Deloris Reasoner, Helen German, Charles and Connie Morris, Cherie Morris, Tom and Robin Shannon, Linda Smith, Dennis and Debbie Gibbons, Anne Smith, Doyle and Patty Curnes. Cousins, Jennifer Morris and Eric Morris. Father and Mother-in-law, Kelly and Jill Curnes; brothers-in-law, Mason and Marshall Curnes; grandparents, Bill and Sharon Sheesley, David and Connie Curnes, as will as many other cousins, family members and friends.
Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday February 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Marty Burgus officiating.
The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Murray Cemetery, Murray, Iowa
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his family for a fitting tribute to be decided later. A fund is set-up at American State Bank.
