John Kerwin

John Patrick Kerwin, son of Edwin Daniel Kerwin and Bernace Auldine (Hughes) Kerwin was born June 7, 1952 in Oskaloosa, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, April 12, 2020 at 67 years of age.

John received his education in Oskaloosa High School graduating in 1970 and later attended trade school.

He was united in marriage to Linda Lee Sarver and was blessed with daughter, Danielle.  John was later united in marriage to Gayla Marie Rohr and was blessed with 3 children, Cole, Carley and Caleb.

John worked as a Machinist at German Machine Works in Osceola for many years and was currently working at Iowa Steel.

John had a passion for the outdoors and nature.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed trumpet playing and motorcycles.  John also attended LifePoint Church in Osceola.

Those relatives who preceded John in death were his parents, Edwin and Bernace and a sister, Lynda Lou Kerwin in infancy, John leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Danielle (Jake) Kraehling of Gilbert, IA; son, Cole Kerwin of Osceola, IA; daughter, Carley Kerwin of Murray, IA; son, Caleb Kerwin of Murray, IA; grandchildren, Harrison and Lucy Kraehling; and his sister, Sharon (Richard) Gygi of Nebraska City, NE as well as other relatives and many friends.

Due to the current COVID-19 Crisis, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to his family. Interment will be in the Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour, Iowa.
