Albert Lee “Pinky” Walker, son of Glen and Emma (Myers Bartmess Walker Hayes), was born March 7, 1949 and passed from this life July 18, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 71 and lived most of his life in southern Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Judy Smith in 1973 while he was employed as a livestock hauler.  During their marriage they lived in Southern Iowa and then moved to Oklahoma where he worked in the oil fields before moving back to Iowa.

On December 23, 1991, he was united in marriage to Janet Stump and they lived in Osceola for the last 30 years. His careers included working in the oil fields, scrapping, truck driving, various city jobs, and running moonshine in his younger years.

His hobbies included traveling, stock car racing, camping, boating, leather crafting, welding, motorcycling, talking to everyone as he never knew a stranger and spending time with friends, family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Harold Bartmess, Marvin Bartmess, Dale Walker, Glenn Allen Walker Jr.; two sisters, Darlene Bunnell and Dorothy Dyess.

He is survived by wife, Janet Walker; one living sister, Charlotte Thompson of Caldwell, Texas; nine children; Troy (Delinda) Walker of Plano, Lori (Kevin) Gwinn of Humeston, Amy (Clifton) Krivachek of Oskaloosa, Sheri (John) Delp of Des Moines, Rick (Tami) Stump of Indianola, Bill (Sunny) Walker of Davis City, Tonya (Rick) Crawford of Fort Dodge, Tanya (Chad) Pashek of Osceola, and Alyson (Christian) LaMastres of Murray, twenty-seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Pete Sheesley officiating.

Visitation will open Monday, July 27 and the family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines.  The use of face coverings are encouraged and welcomed. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at [ http://www.kalefuneralhome.com ]www.kalefuneralhome.com on Al's tribute wall beginning at 1:00 pm, Tuesday. Interment will be in the Pennville Cemetery at a later date.
