Kenneth Stroup

Kenneth Eugene Stroup, son of Bernard Lee Stroup and Helen Arlene (Peterson) Stoup was born January 4, 1962 in Winterset, Iowa and passed from this life Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the home of his sister near Murray, Iowa at 58 years of age.

Kenny lived in Creston, Red Oak and Osceola prior to moving in with his sister 3 weeks ago due to health reasons.  Kenny was a hard worker and loving family man.  He was currently employed at Osceola Hormel Foods.

Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family.  He enjoyed farming and chasing his boys around the farm teaching them to do things right.  Kenny was always friendly and enjoyed visiting with friends.  He enjoyed fishing and collecting Indian artifacts.

Those relatives who preceded Kenny in death were his parents, Bernard and Helen Stroup and brother, John Kevin Stroup.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Sunshine Bartlett of North Carolina, son, Travis (Linda) Stroup of Creston, IA, daughter, Sasha (Ben) Campbell of Texas, son, Jared (Mariah) Coverdell of Allerton, IA, sister, Kathy (Lee) Wilkins of Murray, IA, sister, Karen Priest of Creston, IA, several grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  Cremation will follow the visitation.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation please follow social distancing guidelines.  The use of face coverings are required.

Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for a tribute to be decided later.
