Kimberly Audlehelm

Des Moines

Kimberly Ann Audlehelm was born on July 18th, 1972 and passed away unexpectedly on July 18th, 2020.

Growing up, Kimmie was as tough as the boys in her neighborhood. She loved spending time with her Grandma Barb and Grandma Joyce as a child. She loved her parents, Rick Audlehelm and Patti Audlehelm so much and had many cherished memories with them.  She was an East High graduate and a dedicated Eastsider.

She was a free spirit and went where the wind took her. The simple things in life made her the happiest.  She loved to swim and sit in the sun on a hot day and cuddle up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket and an old movie on the cold ones.

She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Lindsey. Together, they enjoyed long “just because” car rides while listening to their favorite songs. Kim had several other “daughters” she took under her wing and loved as her own as well.

Kim had a very special bond with her younger brother, Kyle. She took pride in her brother and always supported him no matter what. She loved going to his baseball games and wrestling matches when they were younger.

She became a first time aunt last year and has another nephew or niece on the way that she was looking forward to meeting. She became a grandmother for the first time just 3 short months ago to her granddaughter, Jade. She was so excited for life with her new grandbaby. She would show her off and talk about her to anyone who would listen.

Kim touched many lives in her 48 years. She was feisty, had a heart of gold and wore the biggest smile. She was somebody that you could depend on when you really needed her. She loved her family and her friends so much. She will be missed and remembered by many.

Those who preceded Kimberly in death were her grandfather, Bob Page of Osceola, grandparents Bill and Barb Audlehelm of Weldon, uncle, Randy McClellan of Des Moines and cousin, Melinda Audlehelm of Weldon.

Kimberly leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Lindsey (Dylan) Rice and her granddaughter, Jade of Des Moines; parents, Patti Audlehelm of Des Moines and Rick Audlehelm of Weldon; brother, Kyle (Molly) Audlehelm and nephew, Blake of New Virginia; grandparents, Don and Joyce McClellan of Des Moines as ell as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends.
