Ingrid Ann Davis, daughter of Doyle Fear and Imogene Laverne Newton Fear was born July 10, 1947 in Leon, Iowa and passed from this life Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at 73 years of age.
Ingrid received her education in Murray, Iowa where she graduated from Murray High School in 1965. She was united in marriage to Jerry Dene Davis on July 24, 1966 and three children, Micheal, Melissa, and Melanie blessed this union. Ingrid and Jerry celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary this past summer.
Ingrid graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines and began working with Betty Hembry in her shop until 1969 when she and Jerry started a family. Later in life, Ingrid worked at the Clarke Medical Clinic as their Office Manager and retired after twenty-five years.
Ingrid loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Family gatherings when her whole family was back home were her most treasured times. She enjoyed baking, gardening, reading and was known to be an immaculate house keeper.
Relatives who preceded Ingrid in death were her parents, Doyle Fear and Imogene Fear Kearney.
Ingrid leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Jerry Davis of Murray, IA; son, Micheal Davis of Murray, IA, daughter, Missy (Chad) Martin of Moravia, IA, daughter, Melanie (Bob) Eich of Omaha, NE. Her beloved grandchildren, Andrew Davis of Murray, Abigail, Emma, & Elizabeth Martin of Moravia, and Nathan, Colin, Evan, & Madi Eich of Omaha, NE. Also surviving are her brothers, Bob (Pat) Ward of Platte City, MO, Carlos Fear of Aptos, CA, Harold (Jana) Fear of Oak Grove, MO and Brian Kearney as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Monday August 24, 2020 at 10:00 am with Pastor Marty Burgus officiating.
Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Kale Funeral Home.
The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings are required. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at on Ingrid’s tribute wall beginning at 10:00 am, Monday.
Interment will be in the Murray Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be directed to Murray Community Schools for a scholarship to be established in her name.
