The first ladies night event of 2020 was held Thursday by 10 different local businesses on the Osceola square.
“We all work together on these events. We usually do at least three a year, but with this crazy year this is our first one,” said Jerusha Thomas, owner of The Grass Roots Home.
This events was meant as a retail therapy night after a long year of being cooped up due to COVID-19. Some of the shops had vendors in their stores. SalonRed hosted six other vendors along with sales and coupons for the salon. A Lu Leroe vendor was at Lyric Theater. Adult beverages and drawings along with sales and coffee were available at The Grass Roots Home and Home Brew.
“We haven’t had any safety discussions,” said Thomas. “I assume each shop will do what works best for them.”
This is the first of a few different events to come to the Osceola square this fall. It was all about getting out and rediscovering Osceola’s shops. Trunk or Treat is the next event to take place on the square and will look slightly different this year, then the Wine Walk will take place in November.
Taking precautions due to COVID-19 and the upcoming flu season was up to the individuals participating as well as store owners.
