First National Bank in Osceola made a $2,000 donation June 7 to support the construction of a new playground. The Osceola Park Board will use the donated funds for equipment to build an inclusive playground that will be named East Clay Street Park. The playground will include equipment for children of all ages and abilities.
As Osceola continues to grow, this project will bring a public playground facility to the north east section of the city where there has not been one before. Children will be able to travel to the playground on the safe sidewalk route that was installed a few years ago. Once there, by its special design, every child will be able to use the equipment.
“We see families of all shapes and sizes at the bank. We wanted to lend our support to this project that provides opportunities for kids of all abilities to have fun together,” said Amy Lampe, Market President.
“The City of Osceola is thankful for the support from Amy and her team at First National Bank in Osceola,” said Ty Wheeler, City Administrator. “Quality of Life projects would not be possible without the support of business and community leaders.”
The playground is scheduled for construction this summer and fall.
