Osceola’s Independence Day celebration is back July 1-4

The Osceola Chamber Main Street will once again be hosting the Independence Day celebration with this year’s theme of Parade of Start July 1-4.

Anyone still interested in signing up for the Little Miss and Mister Contest can do so by June 25.

The parade line up will be all down Cass Street this year, as Fareway’s parking lot will be unavailable. The line up will be first come first serve for the floats.

“I’m excited because it’s something to do, especially the carnival, it’s fun for all ages,” said Ashleigh Eckels, OCMS Executive Director.

Pre sale tickets are on sale now at all local banks, Hy-Vee and Fareway until 3 p.m. July 1.

• 6 p.m. pet parade contest on the courtyard

July 2

• 4:30 p.m. pedal pull registration

• 5 p.m. pedal pull

• 5-10 p.m. carnival open

• 6:30-9:30 p.m. BRNT on the bandstand

July 3

• 7 a.m. packet pickup Firecracker 5K Fun Run

• 9 a.m. Firecracker 5K Fun Run

• 9 a.m. Little Miss and Mister Contest

• 11 a.m. parade

• 11 a.m.-10 p.m. carnival open

• 12:30 p.m. pie auction

• 2-4 p.m. talent show

• 6:30-9:30 p.m. Red Dirt Renegade on the bandstand

• 10 p.m. fireworks at Lakeside Casino

July 4

• 11 a.m. patriotic service on the bandstand
