Jose Adrian Murillo-Rangel, 38, of Osceola, formerly of Villachuato, Michoacán, Mexico passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Mass of Christian burial will took place on Saturday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi – St. Mary Catholic Church, 9 W. Linn St., Marshalltown. Jose was laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Garden following mass. The visitation was held on Friday, May 7 from noon-8 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, 1209 Iowa Ave., Marshalltown with a vigil service at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Born September 26, 1982 in Villachuato, Michoacán, Mexico, Jose was one of five children born to Arturo Murillo and Roselia Rangel. He was united in marriage to Adriana Andrade on January 20, 2000 in their hometown of Villachuato before eventually settling down in Osceola, Iowa. Jose was a hard worker, dedicating his time as a fork lift operator to JBS – Swift in Marshalltown. He was very skilled, enjoying welding, auto-mechanics and remodeling in his free time. He enjoyed animals, especially roosters and loved cooking and grilling, especially for family get-togethers.

Jose will forever be missed by his wife of 21 years, Adriana; his children: Luis, Stiven and Melanie Rangel; his parents: Arturo and Roselia; siblings: Ana, Yuli, Juana and Jesus Murillo-Rangel; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In death, he is reunited with his grandparents: Modesto Murillo Cisneros, Socorro Carrasco Garcia, Antonio Rangel Espinoza and Guadalupe Padilla Ramirez.
