Carolyn Carper Farr

Carolyn LaVerne Carper Farr, daughter of Willard and Lilah Moomey Carper, was born August 25, 1934, in Osceola, and passed away June 5, 2021, at her home in Winterset.

Per her wishes, cremation has been performed and a memorial service will be Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Lutheran Church in Winterset.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Bud” Farr in 1983; her son Jerry in 2005; her second husband, Richard “Rich” Wilson in 2007; her son Jeff in 2017; four brothers; six sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

She is survived by her best friend, Liz Hansen; daughter-in-law Patricia Farr; stepchildren: Kay Stokes, Tom Wilson, Mary Michel, James Wilson, Michael Wilson and wife Wendy; sisters-in-law: Jeanette Carper, Connie Carper and Janice Farr Halls; brother Bill Carper and wife Norma; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

Carolyn’s family wishes to thank her physician, Dr. Joe Kimball, for the personal care and concern shown to her during her final battle with cancer; the staff of Madison County Hospital/Health Trust Physicians Clinic; Staci and Zandria of Suncrest Home Health and Hospice Care and her many friends that have reached out with expressions of love.
