Eva Doran age 73 of Osceola, Iowa died Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Clarke County Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life was 11 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021, at the Christ’s Way Church, 201 LeAnn Drive in Osceola. Luncheon to follow at the Osceola Eagles, 2329 N. Main St., Osceola.
Lyle and Bertha Schaff welcomed Eva Marlene to the world on May 6, 1948, she was the youngest of eight children. Eva was raised in Osceola, where she also attended school, she later moved to Tama.
Her life forever changed one night when she met a dashing young man named Dennis Doran, and a lifelong love affair began. On May 7, 1968, she and Dennis were married. With this marriage came three children: Dawn, Tiffany, and Dustin.
Eva was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to many. She loved to help people and animals. There is not a kitty in the neighborhood that went hungry under Eva’s watch. She loved music, and dancing, especially in her kitchen with her husband Dennis while their children watched in awe of their undeniable love for each other.
Eva’s compassion for others, spirit for life and love for her family will be greatly missed by her greatest love, Dennis Doran and her three children: Dawn (Kurt) Croell, Tiffany (Howie) Heckenlively, and Dustin (Lisa Bloomingdale) Doran, grandchildren: Colton Braby, Seth Wegman, Kali (Cole) Roberson, Wesley Wegman, Walker (Ashley) McCabe, Gabby Heckenlively, Sophie Heckenlively and Hudson Heckenlively, 3 almost 4 great-grandchildren: Tyler Braby, Cohen Roberson, Lily McCabe and soon to be baby #2 Roberson. Special mention: John Bromley, who was like a son to her.
