Reva Marie Negley, daughter of Louis Charles Jelsma and Iva Illo Thompson Jelsma was born August 18, 1930 in Cambria, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, February 11, 2022 at Southern Hills Specialty Care at 91 years of age.
Reva received her education in the Decatur county country schools and later attended Leon High School graduating in 1937. She received her normal Training after high school and taught for a number of years. She later owned and operated a drive in restaurant in Missouri. Later in life, she worked at Leisure Manor in Osceola.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Negley, Sr. on February 19, 1950 at Leon, Iowa and one son, Raymond, Jr. blessed this union.
Those relatives who preceded Reva in death were her parents, siblings: Harold Jelsma, Kenneth Max Jelsma in infancy, Teddy Dean Jelsma in infancy, Lucille Snook, Garold Jelsma, and Wilma Adair.
Reva leaves to cherish her memory; son, Ray (Pam) Negley of Osceola, IA, grandchildren, David (DeAnne) Negley of Winterset, IA, Kimberly (Brian) Pollard, of Woodburn, IA and Jill (Robert) DeHeer of Boone, IA. She is also survived by brother, Keith (Janet) Jelsma of Decatur City, IA, great-grandchildren, David Michael Negley, Brennan Negley, Natalie Negley, Abigaylle Negley, Katelyn Pollard, Braydon Pollard, Vincent DeHeer, Phoebe DeHeer, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Reva has been cremated, per her request and services will be held at a later date.
Kale Funeral Home has been entrusted with Reva’s arrangements.
