Virginia Leeson

Virginia B. Leeson, daughter of Roy L. Millard and Sylvia M. (Barnes) Millard was born February 9, 1927 in Clarke County, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, October 7, 2022 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa at 95 years of age.

Virginia grew up in Clarke County and graduated from Osceola High School and went on to Drake University where she earned her teaching degree. She taught school in country school and the Osceola Schools, starting teaching 6th grade and then 4th grade, retiring after over 30 years.

Virginia was united in marriage to Dwight Eugene Leeson on June 28, 1947 at Woodburn, IA. She enjoyed teaching and helping kids. Virginia was a collector of salt and pepper shakers, she was always working on a jigsaw puzzle and enjoyed spending time with her daughter. She was a loving and caring wife and mother who will be greatly missed.

Those relatives who preceded Virginia in death were her parents Roy and Sylvia Millard, Dwight Leeson, nephew, Brad (Linda) Leeson, cousin, Doris Settles, sister, Gladys (Alfred) Leeson, and an infant brother Leroy. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Kathy E. Leeson of Osceola, nephew Stan Leeson of Hugo, MN, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Virginia was buried next to her husband Dwight in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
