Twyla Marie Brown, of St. James, MO, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the age of 90.
She was born on June 6, 1932 in Murray, Iowa to the late Percy N. Miller and Edna Marie (Luce) Miller. On April 28, 1951 she married Richard Truman Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard T. Brown; one son, David Brown; a grandson, Robert Denny; four brothers, Leo “Bud” Miller, Don Miller, Larry Miller and Bernard Miller; and four sisters, Opal Harrison, Arlene VonRee, Roberta Edwards and Juanita Robshaw.
Twyla enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: one son, Richard “Rick” Brown and wife, Becky of Laurens, SC; a daughter, Laura Denny and husband, Bill of Sullivan, MO; three grandchildren, Melanie Giordano, Elizabeth Sherrell and husband, Bradley, and Megan Denny and husband, Andrew Brady; five great grandchildren, Olivia, Bennett, Shiloh, Samuel and Matilda; two sisters-in-law, Jan Miller and Sheri Miller, both of Murray, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.
