Madelyn Loghry

Madelyn Quendolyn Loghry, daughter of Enoch E. Weese and Minnie B. Tucker Weese was born August 9, 1927 in Blockton, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital at ninety-five years of age.

Madelyn received her education in Lenox, Iowa graduating from Lenox High School in 1946. Soon after graduation, she was united in marriage to Delbert Dale Loghry Loghry on June 12, 1946 at Sheridan, MO. They celebrated seventy-six years of marriage last summer.

Madelyn worked alongside Dale on the farm throughout their married life. Together, they were members of Osceola Eagles Lodge Aerie #3495 and she was a member of the Osceola Eagles Auxiliary. Madelyn enjoyed traveling to dances with Dale and visiting local music jam sessions.

Those relatives who preceded Madelyn in death were her father, Enoch E. Weese, mother, Minnie B. Weese; six brothers; three sisters and her granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Loghry.

Madelyn leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Dale Loghry of Osceola, IA, son, Dennis (Nancy) Loghry of Woodburn, IA; grandson, Clinton Loghry of Woodburn, IA, granddaughter, Crystal (Marvin) Young of Des Moines, IA, great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tucker Loghry of Woodburn, IA and Ethan, Caleb, Erica and Makayla Young all of Des Moines, IA. Madelyn is also survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Loghry of Omaha, NE as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services were held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Wednesday November 2, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Chuck DeVos officiating.

The family greeted friends from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Kale Funeral Home.
