Carolyn J. “Skip” Lingle

Carolyn J. “Skip” Lingle, daughter of Melvin Carson and Marie (Atkinson) Carson was born June 24, 1933 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, at 90 years of age.

Family will greet friends from 1:00 until 2:00 On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, prior to the graveside services at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Carolyn was a lifetime resident of Osceola, she graduated from Osceola High School in 1951.  She was united in marriage to Darrell Lingle on July 29, 1951 in Osceola and they were blessed with three children, David, Beth, and Patty.

Carolyn was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.  Early in life she worked for Alison’s Drug Store in Osceola scooping ice cream for 15 cents an hour, after being a stay at home mom. She worked for twelve years at Bethphage and a driver for Clarke Community Schools.  She was a long time member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osceola.

Those relatives who preceded Carolyn in death were her parents, Melvin and Marie Carson, her husband Darrell and many of her closest friends.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory; son, David Lingle of Fort Collins, CO, daughters, Beth Lingle of Osceola, IA, and Patty (Dan) Hostetler of Grand River, IA, granddaughter, Claire (David) Lingle of Loveland, CO, grandson, Hayden (Meggan) Hostetler of Grand River, IA, as well as other relatives and friends.
