Robert McBride

Robert “Bob” Francis McBride, one of eight children born to Robert Lee McBride and Eva Iris (Collins) McBride was born July 29, 1954 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, August 25, 2024 at his home in Osceola, Iowa at 70 years of age.

Bob was a hard working family man who loved spending time with his grandkids and teaching them to cook, and their daily morning stops at Casey’s.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was a lifetime resident of Osceola, and graduate from Clarke Community High School.  He worked for Eco-Tech as a Road Construction Quality Supervisor, retiring in 2005.  Bob enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Westside, he will be greatly missed.

Those relatives who preceded Bob in death were his parents, Eva and Robert, brother, Randy James McBride, his grandparents, sister-in-law, Sally Propst McBride, and brother-in-law, Vernon Lafollette.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Tiffany McBride of Osceola, IA, daughter, Stephanie (Donnie Simmerman) Henry of Murray, IA, daughter, Teracia (Thomas) Loretan, daughter, Bobbie-Jo (Paul) Powers, son, Dennis Brakel, partner of 45 years, Debbie Kistler of Osceola, IA, sister, Iris LaFollette of Camanche, IA, sister, Judy (Mike) Patterson of Clive, IA, brother, Harry Jo (Dena Farley) McBride of Osceola, IA, sister, Sandy (Krell McBroom) McBride of Osceola, IA,  sister, Ranetta (Roger) Mills of Polk City, IA, sister, Dawn (Barry Loy) McBride of Murray, IA, grandchildren, Weston McBride, Hunter Henry, Kearston Henry, Mattix Henry, Gracie Simmerman, Layla Simmerman, Grayson Simmerman, Chantell Charlesworth, Zach Shirley, Alexus Samuels, and Austin Stone as well as other relatives and many friends.

Services Celebrating his Life will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Friday August 30, 2024 at 11:30 am with Pastor Marty Burgus officiating.

Bob’s family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday evening, August 29, 2024 at Kale Funeral Home.

A live stream of the service will be available at www.kalefuneralhome.com on Bob’s tribute wall beginning at 11:30 am, Friday.

Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery
