Glenna Hein

Glenna Ellen Hein, daughter of Glenn and Barbara Davidson, was born December 25, 1956, in Chariton, Iowa and passed from this life on December 28, 2024, at Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa.

Glenna grew up in Osceola and graduated from Clarke Community High School. She was a nurses aide at Leisure Manor in Osceola for several years after graduating high school.

Glenna married Ronald Hein in 1980, and one daughter, Becky, blessed this union. Glenna loved to volunteer at the Nursing Home in Leon. She really enjoyed helping the residents with crafts and just being someone that they could talk to and share quality time with. In 2012, due to health problems, Glenna herself became a resident at Westview Acres in Leon. After surviving a stroke, she was confined to a wheelchair. However, she did as much as she could to stay involved with the residents and help out with the crafts and games.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Becky (Joe) Saville; her granddaughter, Stormy Saville; step granddaughter, Autumn Saville; her siblings, Cecil Davidson of Leon, Byron (Diana) Davidson of New Sharon, Iowa, Sandy (John) Sykes of Osceola, Laura (Paul) Palmer of Weldon, Ron (Becky) Utley of Osceola, and Jennifer Gatewood of Albuquerque, New Mexico; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Those relatives who preceded Glenna in death are her parents; infant siblings, Kenneth, Maylon, and Penny; husband Ronald; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will have a celebration of life in the spring or summer of 2025. Arrangements were through the Slade - O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon.
