Marjorie Reynolds

Marjorie May Reynolds, daughter of Milo Clifton Smith and Ida Pearl (Driver) Smith was born March 28, 1932, in Clarke County, Iowa and passed from this life peacefully, surrounded by her family at her home in Osceola, Iowa, Monday, January 6, 2025 at the age of 92 years.

Marjorie grew up in the Murray and Osceola area and attended Osceola High School, she was united in marriage to James Milton Reynolds on July 15, 1950, in Osceola, they were blessed with 4 children, Michael, Marilyn, Merrill and James.

Marjorie loved her family and friends; she was one of the kindest women you will ever meet.  Marjorie loved reading her Bible and her many books.  She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and the Waltons on TV.  Having her family around was a great joy, she enjoyed playing games and putting puzzles together.  She enjoyed singing to her grandchildren and listen to gospel music.  She loved the outdoors, working with her plants and flowers in her flower bed, having a big garden and canning everything she grew.  Marjorie loved to bake and cook.  She was the Best Mom and Grandma in the World.  

Those relatives who preceded Marjorie in death were her parents, Milo and Ida Pearl Smith, husband Milton Reynolds, son-in-law, Bill Sergeant, grandchildren, Tammy Sergeant, Bethanie Kennedy, Niklaus Dohrn and Michael Dohrn, brothers, Russell, Paul, John, Victor and William Smith; sisters, Virginia Pfander, Florence Smith, Mary White, Dorothy Bowlsby, Twyla Mathis, Lucy Stubbs and Shirley Smith.

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory; son Michael (Sherri) Reynolds of Woodburn, IA, daughter, Marilyn Sergeant of Osceola, IA, son, Merrill Reynolds of Osceola, IA, son, James Reynolds of Osceola, IA, grandson, Billy Sergeant of Osceola, IA, grandson, Clint (Alysha) Reynolds of Winterset, IA, granddaughter, Melissa Kennedy of Osceola, IA, granddaughter, Melanie  Sergeant of Osceola, IA, granddaughter, Angie (Matt) Young of Winterset, IA, granddaughter, Abby (Jared) Harlacher of Adel, IA, 19 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Donald Smith of Leon, IA, brother, Kenneth Smith of Osceola, IA, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Following the Celebration, per her wishes she will be cremated, and her cremains will be buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.
