Carol Keller

Carol May Keller, age 96, passed away January 12, 2025, she was born May 30, 1928, to John Crawford Stearns and Cora Belle (Herndon) Stearns. She was the seventh child of eight. She was married to Charles B. Keller on July 7, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2001.

Carol is survived by her daughter Linda Betterman and husband Bill of Bolivar, MO. Her son Stanley Keller and wife Cathy of Woodburn, Iowa. Five grandchildren, Venesa Gibson and her husband Gary of Springfield, MO, Richard Betterman and wife Joy of Galena, MO, Kirk Keller of New Virginia, IA, Cory Keller and wife Stacy of Indianola, IA, Stacy Dahlberg of Martensdale, IA. Twelve Great Grandchildren, Haley, Emma, Laurel, Sydney, Elijah, Joseph, Amairs, Keegan, Myron, Carson, Clayton and Makayla. Four Great Great Grandchildren, Weston, Ryland, Matilda and Otto.

Carol was an active member of the Bethel Chapel Church serving as piano player, Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved to cook and was noted for her chicken and noodles. She will be missed.

Funeral Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Thursday January 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Darl Kaldenberg officiating.

Carol’s family will greet friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the services on Thursday, at Kale Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the services in the Maple Hill Cemetery
