Eileen Barr

Eileen Kay (Jackson) Barr, 62, of Osceola, IA, passed away on January 10th, 2025 at Iowa City Hospital with her family by her side.

Eileen was born on April 23rd, 1962 in Marshalltown, IA to parents Bill and Karen Jackson (Scalf). She married her husband, Frank Barr, on September 1, 1990 and they settled down in Osceola, where they raised their three children.

Eileen truly never knew a stranger, and if you were a stranger, she would be your friend in minutes. She always had room in her heart for one more person! She worked many jobs, and all of them she would say her favorite part was the people. When Eileen wasn’t chasing her kids around, you would find her going to a concert, dancing, listening to music, or doing a needle point, always with a smile on her face!

Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Bill Jackson of Bedford, IA.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Frank Barr of Osceola, IA; three children, Eric Barr of Omaha, NE; Eli Barr of Osceola, IA; Kira Barr of Cincinnati, OH; her mother, Karen (Barry) Scalf of Bedford, IA; five siblings, Kirk (Holly) Jackson of New Virginia, IA; Ken Jackson of West Des Moines, IA; Norma (Ed) Moffitt of Thayer, IA; Kyle (Tammy) Jackson of Osceola, IA; Keith Jackson of Osceola, IA; and numerous other extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held on January 26 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The Eagles: 2329 N Main St, Osceola, IA 50213
