We have missed seeing everyone who visits our shop in the Clarke County Hospital lobby. Everyone asks us when we’ll be open again - we are in the process of getting our shelves filled up with snacks and a new assortment of gift items and hope to be open on June 1. The Gift and Snack Shop will be open 9a.m.-1 p.m. Mon.-Fri. These hours will expand as additional volunteers are recruited. CCH staff, along with patients and visitors, enjoy browsing around our shop, and we enjoy seeing all of you who come in.
If you have cabin fever and want to get out among people, we are looking for volunteers to join the Clarke Co. Hospital Auxiliary. Members can assist Hospital operations in a variety of ways, including working in the gift and snack shop, assisting with visitor greeting at the reception desk, and working events like the annual golf tournament.
Some of our volunteers only work one day per month, others work several days per month, and others work a day or two each week; how much you volunteer is your choice! Joining the auxiliary doesn’t mean you have to work as a volunteer. We have other activities during the year and will welcome you in any capacity. Also, we can’t think of a better way to volunteer in your community and see people again.
