Nov. 21 accident reports

No citations were issued following an accident in the BP Parking Lot, 105 Ariel Cr., on Nov. 12.

According to an Osceola police report, the driver of a legally parked 2021 Chevrolet Silverado was standing outside his vehicle when a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Craig Greene of Knoxville pulling a flatbed trailer pulled into the parking lot. As Greene was turning left into the lot, he turned sharply, causing the flatbed trailer to sideswipe the right front corner of the 2021 Chevrolet.

Damage is estimated at $3,000 to the 2021 Chevrolet and $0 to the 2006 Silverado.

$7,500 in damages are estimated to a 2024 Mazda CX-30, owned by Taylor Hayden of Eldon, Missouri.

According to an Osceola police report, Hayden was traveling westbound on Highway 34 when a buck ran into the side of his vehicle on Nov. 17.

No injuries were reported.

No citations were issued following a single-vehicle accident on Nov. 16 on Interstate 35.

According to an Osceola police report, Srinivas Adusumilli of Palatine, Illinois, was traveling north on Interstate 35 in a 2015 Mercedes ML350 when a passenger car swerved into his lane between the 33 and 34 mile markers. To avoid hitting the car, Adusumilli swerved towards the shoulder, causing his vehicle to leave the roadways and get into the mud, where he hit a cable barrier. Adusumilli took out approximately 32 poles before his vehicle came to a rest.

Damage is estimated at $9,000 to the 2015 Mercedes. Damages to the cable barriers owned by the State of Iowa were not available.
