No citations were issued following an accident in the parking lot of Osceola Foods, 1027 Warren Ave., on Oct. 2.
According to an Osceola police report, the driver of a 2010 Ford Escape was sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot waiting on someone, when his vehicle was struck by an SUV. Both drivers got out to look at the damage, but the driver of the SUV got back into their vehicle and left. Officers were able to review security footage, and noted that the SUV slightly hit the passenger side rear of the Ford.
Damage is estimated at $200 to the 2010 Ford.

One citation was issued following a two-vehicle accident on Oct. 6 at the intersection of E. McLane St. and S. Kossuth St.
According to an Osceola police report, Lois Dau of Osceola was traveling southbound on S. Kossuth St. in a 2012 Buick Verano, and stopped at the stop sign at S. Kossuth and E. McLane Streets. At the same time, Larry Reynolds, Woodburn, was traveling eastbound on E. McLane St. in a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer. As he approached Kossuth St., Dau pulled away from the stop sign to continue south, not seeing Reynolds, causing him to hit Dau.
Dau was cited for failure to yield. Reynolds was transported to Clarke County Hospital by Clarke County Ambulance.
Damage is estimated at $5,000 to the 2012 Buick and $1,500 to the 2001 Mercury.

No citations were issued following an accident in the Walmart parking lot, 2400 College Dr., on Oct. 6.
According to an Osceola police report, Donna Bond of Davis City was backing out of a parking stall in a 2008 Dodge Avenger in row six. As Bond was backing up, a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas driven by Denise Gonzalez Hernandez was stopped at the stop sign between rows seven and six. Bond did not see Gonzalez Hernandez, and backed into the rear passenger door of Gonzalez Hernandez’s vehicle.
Damage is estimated at $500 to the 2008 Dodge and $2,000 to the 2021 Volkswagen.
