One citation was issued following a two-vehicle accident on Dec. 3.
According to an Osceola police report, a 15-year-old driver in a 2006 Honda Accord was traveling east on W. McLane St. when he crossed the center line, striking a 2015 Toyota Camry driven by Derek Pyland of Tingley head-on. This caused both vehicles to come to a rest in the north ditch. No injuries were reported. The minor was cited for failure to maintain control.
Damage is estimated at $20,000 to the both the 2006 Honda and 2015 Camry.

Minimal damage was reported after an accident on Dec. 3 on S. Kossuth St.
According to an Osceola police report, Dorothy Parmer of Van Wert backed into a legally parked 2011 Dodge Nitro in her 2002 Buick LeSabre, causing damage to the front bumper of the Dodge.
Damage is estimated at $100 to the 2002 Buick and $200 to the 2011 Dodge.

One citation was issued following an accident on One Tribe Dr. on Dec. 5.
According to an Osceola police report, a 16-year-old driver traveling down One Tribe Dr. in a 2003 Honda Accord behind a 2004 Honda Odyseey driven by Disnel Urquiza Paz of Houston, Texas. The minor stated that Urquiza Paz stopped so she did as well, then Urquiza Paz started backing up, colliding with her front bumper. Urquiza Paz told officers that he had come to a stop, and that the minor had run into him. Officers were later able to review video from the high school, which showed that Urquiza Paz had backed up into the Honda Accord.
Damage is estimated at $1,500 to the 2003 and 2004 Honda. Urquiza Paz was cited for no insurance.

Minor damage was reported after an accident on Dec. 6.
According to an Osceola police report, Brianna Porter, Osceola, was stopped at the stop sign of Southwest Blvd and Highway 34 in a 2019 Toyota Highlander. Porter was inching forward, waiting for a clear lane to turn east onto Highway 34. Behind her was Tyler Clark, Osceola, in a 2004 Ford F150, who was also inching forward when he made contact with the back tail light of Porter’s vehicle.
Damage is estimated at $500 to the 2019 Toyota and $0 to the 2004 Ford.

No citations were issued following an accident in the KFC/Taco Bell parking lot, 107 Ariel Circle, on Dec. 6.
According to an Osceola police report, Tyler Butz of Leon was pulling into the parking lot in a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. His vehicle was having brake issues, which resulted in him colliding with a legally parked 2006 Toyota Avalon.
Damage is estimated at $2,000 to the 2006 Toyota and $2,500 to the 2004 Oldsmobile.

No citations were issued following an accident on Dec. 9 in the BP Parking lot, 105 Ariel Circle.
According to an Osceola police report, the driver of a 1990 Ford F250 had parked his pickup and long-dual axis flatbed trailer at a gas pump. As he was paying, a 2024 Toyota Rav4 driven by Harold Fuller, Osceola, backed into the trailer from a parking spot. This caused no damage to the trailer and minimal damage to the Toyota.
Damage is estimated at $700 to the 2024 Toyota and $0 to the 1990 Ford.

No citations were issued following an accident on Dec. 10 on W. Clay St.
According to an Osceola police report, Sylvester Davis of Memphis, Tennessee was driving a 2024 Peterbilt east on W. Clay St. Davis missed his turn onto Interstate 35, and drove into the Revelton Distillery parking lot, 1400 W. Clay St., to make a u-turn. In doing so, Davis drove over a concrete barricade, then left westbound on W. Clay St. At the time, the concrete barricade was still under the trailer of Davis’ semi.
Davis then drove to Pilot, 2010 W. Clay St. Doing this caused several chunks fo the concrete barrier to break loose and be left in the roadway of W. Clay St. Davis entered Pilot parking lot then exited, crossed W. Clay St. and pulled into a parking lot. There, Davis was able to back his trailer off of the concrete barrier. Davis advised officers that he was unaware he was dragging the concrete barrier under his trailer.
Some time later, Julie Boyce, Osceola, was traveling west on W. Clay St. in a 2019 Hyundai when she hit a chunk of the concrete barrier, causing damage to her vehicle’s tire and front fender.
Damage is estimated at $1,500 to the 2024 Peterbilt, $1,500 to the 2019 Hyundai and $500 to the concrete barrier owned by Revelton Distillery.
